  • The calligraphy classes helped Steve Jobs after 10 years: When Jobs was designing the first Macintosh computer, he recalled what he had learned in the calligraphy classes and designed those beautiful, proportionally spaced typefaces into the Mac.
  • You can connect dots: You cannot connect dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards by trusting that they will somehow connect in your future through gut, destiny, life, or karma.
  • Jobs reacted later on, after the shock of being fired from Apple: He slowly realised that he still loved what he did, so he decided to start over. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again.
  • Jobs was cured of a rare cancer: A biopsy revealed that his pancreatic cancer was a very rare form that was actually curable with surgery. He underwent the surgery and was cured.
  • Jobs acquired the famous words 'Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish': He read these words beneath a photograph of an early morning country road on the back cover of the final issue of a publication called 'The Whole Earth Catalogue'.
