(1) Write a short essay on your own journey in a boat.
A Boat Journey to Elephanta Caves
Last summer, my family and I took a boat journey from the Gateway of India to the Elephanta Caves. The boat rocked gently as it moved over the blue waves of the Arabian Sea. Seagulls flew alongside our boat, hoping for some snacks. The cool sea breeze and the vast expanse of water all around us made the journey extremely peaceful and thrilling at the same time.
(2) Prepare and present a speech on 'My Favourite Place'.
Respected teachers and my dear friends, today I am going to talk about my favourite place.
The name of my favourite place is Mahabaleshwar. Its special features are the lush green hills, deep valleys, and the beautiful Venna Lake where we can enjoy boating. I like this place because the weather is always cool and pleasant, far away from the heat and pollution of the city. I also love eating the fresh, sweet strawberries grown there.
Thank you for listening!
(3) Make a painting or a collage to show the different things described in the poem.
This is a creative art activity to be done in your drawing book. You can draw or make a collage showing a blue stream, a little boat, large water lilies, tall reeds, a green dragonfly, a swallow, jumping fishes, and a bright kingfisher.
