Let us Think
1. Where does the frog like to sit or spend time?
The frog likes to sit in ponds and in the rain. It hops about in muddy drains and damp places.
2. How does the frog catch its food?
The frog flicks its tongue very fast to catch its food.
3. How does the frog move in water and on land?
In water, the frog swims with its webbed feet. On land, it hops and jumps.
4. What helps the frog hide in its surroundings?
The frog’s colours match the plants and trees. So it hides well in grass and leaves.
1. What would it feel like to live like a frog, both in water and on land?
It would be fun. I could swim in the pond and also hop on land.
2. If you could hop as high as a frog, what fun things would you do?
I would jump over walls. I would pluck mangoes from the tree without a ladder.
3. How is a frog’s life different from a fish’s life?
A frog lives both in water and on land. A fish lives only in water. A fish cannot live out of water.
4. How are frogs’ webbed feet similar to the flippers used by scuba divers?
Both are wide and flat. They push the water back and help to swim fast.
